Globalisation

WALT Define Globalisation.
Have a read of our wonderful ideas about Globalisation...

We are defining Globalisation. Globalisation is being connected to the world. There are lots of different cultures and languages in the world. We can travel to other countries by airplane or boat and sometimes even by car. Globalisation is about experiencing other people’s cultures by speaking their language, trying their food and practicing their traditions. Here in New Zealand we buy things from other countries such as food, clothes, toys and electronics. We can hear about and see what’s happening in the world through watching the news and reading the newspaper. We can communicate with our family and friends in other countries by phone, skype, email, text and social media. Overall we think Globalisation is important because it allows us to keep in touch with family and friends, it keeps us up to date with what’s happening in the world and allows us to share and sell things with other countries. If we didn’t have Globalisation we wouldn’t know what’s happening in other parts of the world, we wouldn’t be able to communicate with people in other countries and we wouldn’t have such a variety of clothes, food and toys.
